Roy W. Howard Journalism Competition, 2016 National Reporting Fellow
May 2016

I was one of nine collegiate journalists chosen by the Scripps Howard Foundation and Indiana University Journalism to embark on an expense-paid, 10-day study trip to Japan. We traveled to Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo during the week abroad, and took photos and contributed blog posts to reflect on our experiences.

Ohio Universities Public Records Audit, Contributor
March 2016

In early 2016, I was approached by fellow journalism students from Ohio University interested in performing a public records audit on universities within the state of Ohio. Through teleconferences and emails, we formed a team of student journalists at 12 of 14 Ohio universities. In January, I oversaw a group of auditors from Ohio State as they requested five records from various university offices.

Step Into Singapore, Editor/Blogger
December 2015 - January 2016

Designed, managed and edited a travel and culinary blog during a trip to Singapore, funded by the Ohio State University's Second-Year Transformational Experience Program Fellowship.
